Sauce Labs came to us during a time when a VC firm took an interest in the company. They already had a cult brand status in the developer community - beloved, funky and cool in the eyes of developers who use their product to test web and mobile apps through their continuous innovation cycles.

It was now time for the brand to live up to that cult status with positioning, look and feel that captured their unique culture, and reflected how differentiated they are in their vertical. The catch? The developers who comprise our target audience, hate marketing-speak with a burning passion.

Deep research and executive level workshops led to the development of a brand rooted in the idea of revolutionizing testing to free developers to innovate and deliver amazing applications faster.

With a design that reflected the playful, in-the-know spirit Sauce Labs embodies, and a dash of straightforward, yet engaging content that spoke directly to the developer community, we activated the brand from A-Z.

The key to success is that we approached activation from an atypical standpoint. Highly interactive display ads were based on beloved old school games like Space Invaders. We hosted meetups, and developed hoodies, stickers, and other amazing swag with a superhero flair (because developers are the heroes of this brand story). An unexpected approach that led to exceptional results.
